The world has undoubtably changed. We are more connected than ever, there are more opportunities for creation and innovation than ever, we are able to work from anywhere and yet we are more stressed than ever, more unable to switch off and the scariest part is that, our bodies are adapting to assist us in this.

We are not designed to be ‘on’ all of the time.

Stress is our body's way of responding to any kind of demand or threat. When we sense danger—whether it's real or imagined—our body's defenses kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight” reaction or the “stress response.”

The stress response is the body's way of protecting us. When working properly, it helps us stay focused, energetic, and alert. In emergency situations, stress, it saves our life—enabling extra strength to defend ourselves such as the reaction to slam on the brakes to avoid a car accident.

Stress can have other positive aspects, sometimes referred to as “eustress.” For example, it can help you rise us meet challenges such as keeping us on our toes during a presentation at work, sharpening our concentration when when driving etc.

But while not all stress is bad for us, beyond a certain point, it stops being helpful and starts to cause major damage. Stress that feels overwhelming can have a negative impact on our health, mood, productivity, relationships, and your quality of life and as skin therapists we see it impacting our clients skin more than ever before.

 In this 60 minute facial, we decongest and enliven your skin through double cleansing and customized exfoliation.  We incorporate uplifting and restorative Aromatherapy associates forest therapy oils for deep belly breathing, facial, neck and shoulder massage, hot towel therapy and foot and leg pressure point massage.  We treat your skin with a personalised transdermal infusion of only the best ingredients and LED light therapy to revive.  You will leave feeling fresh, earthed, centered, zen.
