Detoxing 101. Are you struggling with hormone health, brain fog, overwhelm? This is a great place to start… Here’s my story.

My Journey to Wellness:

I have been on a journey, these past 6 months especially.  It's been a deeply personal exploration, which felt like it happened overnight but on reflection, it was a slow unravelling.

I’ve had a lot of stress in the past few years.  Like so many of us, navigating the personal and professional challenges that have come with what the world went through and continues to go through.  We are so resilient us humans, until we are not.  Women especially take on so much for ourselves, our families and our communities and our bodies were not designed for such sustained stress and pressure.

Around July my body decided it was done, enough stress, enough rushing, enough of the lack of sleep.

I was exhausted, crying every day, in bed by 7pm but unable to sleep, my ears were ringing because of the tension in my jaw, I had put on a huge amount of weight, I had no energy for the gym, no motivation or spark for my businesses.  My body was flashing red. Something had to change.

My hormones were so out of balance.  Sometimes when we are in the thick of it, it is difficult to see what is causing what.

Having worked in the wellbeing industry my whole life I understand so much about how all of our systems work together, so I knew what I needed to do.

Embracing Self-Care and Healing Rituals have played a vital role in my life this past 6 months and through our workshop series, my Naturopath “The normal Naturopath” and I will share everything she knows and I have learned about how to support all of our systems so that you can avoid the “dis ease” and disruption that I experienced, through not listening to my body and letting it all go on way too long

As I continue on my wellbeing journey, I'm reminded that it's not about finding quick fixes or temporary solutions. True wellness is a way of life that requires commitment, compassion, and a willingness to listen to the needs of our bodies. So we have created a workshop series to share actionable resources and methods to assist our community in their wellbeing journey.

Our first event – Detoxing 101 dives head first into the lymphatic system's role in optimal functioning of our bodies.

The lymphatic system is a complex network of vessels and organs responsible for removing waste, toxins, and excess fluids from the body. Unlike the circulatory system, which relies on the heart to pump blood, the lymphatic system relies on muscle movement, breathing, and manual manipulation to circulate lymph fluid throughout the body.

By enhancing lymphatic circulation, toxins, cellular waste, and excess fluids are efficiently flushed out of the body, so important for hormonal health!

The benefits of Lymphatic Drainage for Detoxification

Elimination of Toxins: Lymphatic drainage facilitates the removal of metabolic waste products, environmental toxins, and other harmful substances from the body, reducing the burden on organs such as the liver and kidneys.

Reduction of Fluid Retention: By improving lymphatic function, excess fluid build-up (edema) in the tissues is reduced, leading to decreased bloating and puffiness.

Enhanced Immune Function: The lymphatic system plays a vital role in immune function, as lymph nodes filter and trap foreign invaders such as bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells. By supporting lymphatic drainage, immune function is strengthened, helping the body fend off illness and disease.

Improved Skin Health: Lymphatic drainage can help improve the appearance of the skin by reducing inflammation, promoting collagen production, and enhancing nutrient delivery to skin cells.

Alleviation of Chronic Conditions: Lymphatic drainage has been shown to be beneficial for a variety of chronic health conditions, including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and lymphedema.

Join us! Thursday April 11th at 5.30pm as we kick off our workshop series.  Detoxing 101.  We are so passionate about women’s wellbeing, and we want you to know, you are not alone in your journey.
